Triple Berry Jam

For round 2 of jam making we went with a very simple, yet finger-licking good, triple berry jam.  We used the wild blueberries we had picked earlier in the day along with raspberries and strawberries.  The recipe is the fruit, pectin (binds the jam), sugar, and my aunt’s secret ingredient the framboise liqueur.  As I said before, the messy and hot part comes with boiling all the jars and lids, but it’s well worth it.  You can see the process of the fruit breaking down in the pictures below, the colors were really magnificent. Add this jam to a PB&J and you no longer have an elementary children’s sandwich.
